Christopher Ellett’s practice covers all aspects of civil and commercial litigation for a wide variety of clients, with a focus on construction and land disputes.
His real estate litigation includes advancing and defending claims for breach of contracts for goods, services and land; assisting and advising clients with collapsed land sale and development agreements; and managing and resolving multiparty construction and builders’ lien disputes.
Chris is also active resolving disputes between shareholders and companies; advancing and defending equitable claims involving specific performance, trusts, tracing of assets, accounting of profits, unjust enrichment, and injunctive relief; negotiating severance for terminated employees; prosecuting employee theft and removal of company property; and protecting clients from trademark infringement and defamation.
Chris joined Kornfeld LLP as an associate in February 2011. He is active in the Vancouver legal community, regularly volunteering for Access Pro Bono and other local mental health organizations.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys playing hockey, skiing, golfing, and travelling.
